Trauma Resiliency Model is designed to help individuals build resilience and recover from trauma by empowering clients to regulate their nervous system and develop coping skills to manage the effects of trauma.
TRM utilizes the understanding that traumatic experiences can dysregulate the nervous system, leading to a range of symptoms such as hypervigilance, dissociation, and emotional distress and aism to set a “resilient zone” that patients can tap into when experiencing or reexperiencing traume. The therapy aims to restore balance and resilience by teaching clients techniques to regulate their physiological responses and increase their capacity for self-regulation. By helping patients identify their signs of dysregulation we develop personalized strategies to return to their Resilient Zone when triggered.
Through TRM, clients learn to recognize and respond to triggers and stressors in ways that promote safety and well-being. By developing resilience skills and increasing their capacity for self-regulation, individuals can reduce the impact of trauma on their lives and experience greater overall functioning and quality of life.
